Separators are used for separation of petroleum derivative matters, sand and light sewages from waters flowing gravitationally in rain drainage before entering a receiver (river, lake, sea). Liquids with density lower than water (up to 0,95 g/cm3) which don’t appear in natural water or slightly appear are called light sewages. They are: gas, engine oil, fuel and other mineral liquids. Sewages are separated during horizontal flow of polluted water through cartridge using flotation and sedimentation process.
Separators for light sewages should co-operate with additional sand traps, in spite of having own sand trap located on the bottom inside. Collected sewages are removed with special truck for sewage removal equipped with a soft hose. |
